Anxiety

Feeling worried or nervous is a normal part of everyday life. Everyone feels anxious from time to time. Mild to moderate anxiety can help you focus (for a test, or public speaking). But if anxiety is severe, you may have feelings of helplessness, confusion and extreme worry that are out of proportion with the actual seriousness of the situation.

Other emotional symptoms of anxiety include: restlessness, irritability or feeling ‘on edge’, worrying too much, inability to concentrate, and a feeling of doom.

The good news is we are here to help. After talking with a professional clinician or doctor, you will receive an accurate diagnosis and you will be able to get relief. Our staff will help you clearly identify what triggers your attacks.

You may already know what those triggers are – and you may be surprised to find out that there may be another underlying cause.

By sharing your feelings with the staff at Palmetto, you will understand that you are not alone, and there are medications and techniques that will help you cope.

You may also wish to share your feelings with someone you trust to help you such as a friend or a family member. We urge you to take the first step to fight your anxiety attacks, and to get your life back in balance. Call us, we are here to help.
