Steven Lopez, MD
Dr. Steven Lopez is the chief medical officer for Palmetto Behavioral Health. He completed his residency program in adult psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2000 and completed his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry in 2001.
He is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Lopez specializes in treating childhood disorders including autism, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, ADHD and medication management.
Eduardo Cifuentes, MD
Dr. Eduardo Cifuentes completed his medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Centro America in Costa Rica in 1998. He completed his residency at the University of Kentucky in 2004 and joined Palmetto Behavioral Health shortly thereafter.
Dr. Cifuentes provides inpatient and outpatient treatment for patients. He specializes in treating adult ADHD, mood disorders and psychotic disorders, and he is also fluent in Spanish.
Honora Sandifer, MD
Dr. Honora Sandifer is a staff psychiatrist and the director of crisis stabilization. She completed medical school at the University of South Carolina followed by her residency at Eastern Tennessee State University.
Dr. Sandifer specializes in crisis stabilization and treating adult mood disorders and psychiatric disorders.
