Adult Substance Use Treatment
Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health provides psychiatrist-led medical detoxification for adults age 18 and older. This can help patients understand the disease of alcohol and drug dependency, while learning relapse prevention skills at the same time. Our ultimate goal is to provide these patients with the opportunity to successfully reintegrate into their community.

- Education and support for lifelong changes
- Treatment for co-occurring disorders
- Psychiatrist-led medication management (if necessary)
- Daily 12-step group meetings
When inpatient treatment is completed and 24/7 care is no longer necessary, the CARE program at Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health enables patients to continue receiving treatment on an outpatient basis. The CARE program is for patients with a substance use disorder who do not need 24-hour care.
